Privacy

Overprint keeps as little about you as it can, says here what that is, and lets you take it with you or delete it yourself.

Without an account

Your games, your streak and your theme are saved in this browser and never leave it. One cookie remembers the language you chose, for a year.

When you play a ranked puzzle, the server records a random number standing for this device, so nobody can play the same puzzle over and over to find the answer. It is deleted three days after you start.

What we count

To learn which games are played and finished, the site counts what happens on it: a puzzle started, a result opened, a card shared. Each count carries a random id for the device (or, when you are signed in, a scrambled form of your account id that cannot be turned back), your country and your language. Counts are kept for three months.

Never your email, your name or your IP address. No advertising, no analytics from anyone else, no tracking cookies - which is why there is no cookie banner.

Cloudflare Web Analytics also counts page visits, without cookies.

With an account

An account is an email and a link: we send the link through Cloudflare's email service, and you press it. While you have an account, we keep:

• Your email, to sign you in. Nobody else sees it.
• The name you choose, which is public on your page and in the rankings.
• The language you use the site in.
• Every result you play, with when and how it went, and your place in the rankings worked out from them.
• The rooms you create or join.
• A cookie that keeps you signed in, for 30 days.

We do not keep your IP address or which browser you use.

Where it lives

Everything is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes it on our behalf. We do not sell it or share it with anyone.

The Buy Me a Coffee link leads to a separate site, with its own privacy policy.

Download it, delete it

Signed in, open your account from the top of any page: one button downloads everything we keep about you as a file, another deletes your account.

Deleting removes, at once, your email, your results and standings, the rooms you created, your place in the rooms you joined and your sessions; the rankings are worked out again without you. Until you do, your account is kept. Counts already made are not deleted: they hold no email or name, nothing in them leads back to you once the account is gone, and they expire after three months.
